UPDATED: Papa Johns, Huggies Pull Ads from Wonkette After Revolting Post About Trig Palin
This is what needs to be done and thanks to sites like Twitter and to citizen journalism, it can happen. Papa Johns was alerted to the beyond odious post on Wonkette and, as a result, they say they are taking steps to ensure their ads no longer appear on the sewer slime trash site.
@robertcurlin Thank you for alerting us to this. We’ve taken steps to make sure our advertising doesn’t appear on that site in the future.
If you choose to be disgusting and vile in order to garner the attention – and traffic spikes – you so desperately crave, don’t be surprised when that attention backfires when those with common decency are outraged and call you out on it. And when advertisers use their right to pull their ads from sites that publish absolute filth. Well done, Papa Johns.
Additionally, cut their traffic and cut more advertisers.
As for me, I’m ordering Papa Johns for dinner tonight. With bacon, which is just an added bonus.
UPDATE:
@Huggies: All – We do not support the @Wonkette story & have taken action 2 pull r ads, effective immediately. TY 4 bringing this issue to r att’n!
